About the Classes

In her lessons, Sofia combines several teaching approaches. We explore all essential components of the creative process:
‍
technical skills, theory, art history, body awareness, subconscious exploration, unlocking your unique creative potential, and training perception — learning how to see composition, objects, light, and color

Sofia prefers to introduce theory and technique in carefully measured portions, while dedicating most of the time to gently guiding each student toward discovering their own artistic voice and style

We will experiment with different drawing styles — from abstraction to classical still life in pencil. Sometimes Sofia shares the historical background of genres and movements to spark new inspiration. At other times, we challenge ourselves by creating artwork with limited materials, tools, or lighting conditions — expanding creativity through constraint

About Sofia

Sofia is an intellectual mentor who has the ability to explain complex concepts in simple words. She guides students toward their own voice and shares her deep love for painting, color, and form
